Rules of thumb for the size (surface area) of raingardens as a percentage of the contributing impervious catchment area was discussed at the recent workshop held in Adelaide for the CRC for Water Sensitive Cities Adoption Guidelines for Stormwater Biofiltration Systems. Water Sensitive SA would like to hear your experiences. Tell us about your project (i) the rain garden area as a proportion of the contributing impervious catchment area (ii) What were the design criteria or site constrains that influenced the raingarden size? (iii) Has the system performed well under the sediment loads of the contributing catchment? (iv) What would you change in future designs?
