Water Sensitive SA draft submission for the Planning and Design Code – Phase 3

22 January 2020

The Planning and Design Code (the Code) represents one of the most important reforms in more than 20 years that will define how our cities and towns grow. Water Sensitive SA has reviewed the policies within the Code that relate directly to urban greening, tree canopy cover and water sensitive urban design. Our draft submission is now available to assist you to identify the relevant issues that may affect your community.

Submission on the Code closes on 28 February 2020. Up until that time, the Water Sensitive SA submission may be subject to change, as additional feedback is received from our partners or new issues come to light.

Anyone interested in lodging their own submission can do so via the state governments Your Say website.

It is important to communicate in any submission the policies that you wish to see remain in the Code, in addition to any you may seek to change. Have your say in the future of our communities.

Water Sensitive SA is hosting a series of community workshop across Adelaide in early to mid February. These workshops have been designed to help demonstrate development scenarios that meet the draft planning policies in terms of greening and stormwater management, and how this compares to current practices.
