Invitation: Smart technology & planning for infill development project – University of Adelaide

14 July 2017

The University of Adelaide’s Intelligent Water Decisions Research Group is seeking input from industry and government for a pilot study on smart technology and planning solutions to mitigate impacts of infill development in Adelaide, such as increased runoff, open space creation, and changes in water demands.

The study will focus on developing a proof-of-concept conceptual framework to identify and evaluate opportunities for smart-controlled rainwater tanks and basins, for multi-scale and multi-objective outcomes.  This will include determining how land use changes may impact runoff volumes and determining future water demand changes based on data previously collected from smart water meters. Preliminary results will be presented to selected stakeholders.

If you’d like to register your interest to have input into the study’s scope and objectives, email Dr Michael Di Matteo or ‘phone 0403 974 113.
