Water Sensitive SA together with the Department of Environment, Water and Natural Resources, Green Infrastructure Program has partnered with the Cooperative Research Centre for Water Sensitive Cities (CRCWSC) to develop a Comprehensive economic evaluation framework under the CRCWSC’ Integrated Research Project #2 (IRP2).
The aim of the CRC for Water Sensitive Cities’ IRP2 project is to develop, test and apply a broadly applicable framework for conducting integrated economic assessment to support business case development for investing in water sensitive, liveable and resilient cities.
The key deliverables for the project are:
- A Benefit Transfer tool and guideline
- A Benefit-Cost Analysis tool and guideline
- A financial regulation framework
This project has been made possible with funding from our program partners and a grant from the Stormwater Management Authority.

Water Sensitive SA is a program for WSUD practitioners funded by organisations with a commitment to providing leadership in our transition to water sensitive communities. We are seeking additional investment partners for the general program deliverables and for a suite of priority projects that are essential to the widespread uptake of water sensitive urban design in new developments, capital works projects and infrastructure renewal works.
